"Giving Tomorrow’s Future A Voice Today"
The Dartmouth Youth Council is a volunteer based program that is aimed to empower youth to have a voice in their school system as well as local political issues in their community. The council is teaching kids one step at a time to be the change they want to see in the world.
Abigail Cabral is a Sophomore at Dartmouth High School and the secretary for the Dartmouth Youth Council. She strives to be the voice for both her community and the youth. she is passionate about her town and will speak up for Dartmouth.
Gavin Alves is a Junior at Dartmouth High school. He is the Youth Councils President and Co-Founder. The three sport athlete also volunteers as an attorney for South Coast Youth Court. With over 100 community service hours, he looks forward to overseeing the council and finding solutions to problems within the community.
Isabella Filipe is a Junior at Dartmouth High School. The Co-Founder and Vice President of the Dartmouth Youth Council is a prominent member of multiple clubs. These include Youth and Government, Debate and DECA.
Kempton Campbell is a Senior at Dartmouth High and is the Youth Council's Communications Officer. He is president of the Drama Club, an attorney at South Coast Youth Court, and a member of the Debate Club, Poetry Club and the School Newspaper. Through youth Council he strives to give the student body a voice in the community.
The Council meets in the Dartmouth High School Conference room every Monday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
